Lous Watercooler Archives, Lous2
Didn't think I wrote so much, history needs its own page. Welcome to Lous2. :-) March 25, 2010 It's a beautiful Thursday morning in the St. Laz/Hudson area. I saw a couple of great formations of our Canada Geese arriving again today. There is nothing like the sound and vision of the first signs of the Hooters. In 2003, they counted 7000 migrating birds in our St. Lazare Sandpits. Over 150 species of birds throughtout the year can be seen found there. Sorry, I'm a bit off subject today... Just wanted to share that sometimes it's those magic moments that make a day. I've been thinking about Barbara Pollock-Bohnenblust, Craig Pollock's wonderful wife who passed away this past Sunday. Craig spent these recent years by her side, busy living life. At the last 24 Hours of Villars, Barbara mentioned in an interview she didn't think she would be there this year but she was. She was fully aware it was to be her last appearance at an event she, Craig and Jacques Villeneuve started several years ago. Craig announced his promise that despite what the future held for them, the event was already scheduled for 2011. Barbara's spirit of love, charity and hope will live on. Good thoughts to Craig, family and friends and of course JV. May Barbara now watch over everyone and I'm sure she is smiling down on a Craig and JV reunion. :-) I've always liked CP. Quite a man. --- We're just about 12 hours or so away from the first practice session in Australia. Will it be the Bulls against the Stallions in the Australian GP 2010? I would love to see Webber with the pole. Not that I appreciate young Vettel and Team Ferrari, but I like Mark alot. The new point system worries me. It seemed a good idea before the F1 Season 2010 started but now, after only 1 race, the Constructors standings have Ferrari with 43 points which is more than double the points of the second placed McLaren-Mercedes who has 21. And Red Bull sits in 4th with only 16. I may be wrong and things will all work out so the Championship isn't announced months prior to the end of the Season. :-) And, they'll be racing in Nascar at Martinsville Speedway. No Nationwide race this weekend, but the Camping World Truck and Sprint Cup Series' races should be fun to watch. This will be the last Sprint Cup race where the cars will have a Wing. Then they go back to using Spoilers. In testing this week, a few Top Chasers from 2009 thought it could be a troublesome switch for next week's racing. Guess what, the amazing Jimmie Johnson isn't worried and sees it as an opportunity. Easy to say when you've won 28 races in a car with a spoiler? Perhaps but more importantly, JJ has a winning attitude. It makes all the difference in the World if you ask me. As for my 'ex' Carl - I still have a soft spot for him and probably always will but I do sense some frustration from him. His happy-go-lucky attitude changed last year. When times are tough, the tough get going. Maybe he needs to get tougher. Legends like current Jimmie or Jeff Gordon, Dale the father, Darrell W, Petty, etc., all had to get tough in their early years. And, as with fine wine, men become great men with time. Hope it works out better for Carl this year but I am enjoying watching anytime he and Brad are side-by-side on the track. That's Nascar baby. It's time for me to get my Fantasy picks in. Had a terrible week last week but I'm still on top. Girls love to be on top. Have a good one JVistes, the best has yet to come and I'm hoping it's sooner than later in Nascar. --- March 22, 2010 I enjoyed watching both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup races at Bristol this past weekend. When Mark Martin was taken out, it ruined my Fantasy picks but how could I be disappointed when Jimmie Johnson wins his 50th. And, his first at the Bristol. The fastest shortest track. There was a bit of rain but the delays were forgotten. What a finish. At this point, when someone like Jimmie participates in any race... you know he's always the favorite. Best car, best Team and he IS the best Nascar driver currently. Way to go Jimmie Johnson. Montoya was doing well throughout the first half of the race. He didn't like the way McMurray was driving so he nudged him. :-) Can you blame him? lol I think it was actually the highlight of the racing at Bristol(following Jimmie's win). There were a few attempts at 3-wide which I always love to see on that track. Unimaginable the skill it takes to do it and get out of it. Any auto-racing enthusiast can appreciate Nascar if you watch it long enough. :-) --- They will be racing in Australia this weekend in the second race of the Forumula 1 2010 Season. Best of luck to Webber. Let's hope this race isn't as boring as the first. So many changes and new things, I'm guessing it will be another race or 2 before we get a grasp of the Top 3 to beat. I'm loving Force India and their cars. Not that thrilled about the drivers this year but I'm hoping to be proven wrong. Eventually, they will be good enough to attract the very best. Glad to see Ferrari may have found the secret sauce again. But it's early in the Season and we'll see... It being a Monday and all - I must get going. Talk to you soon. --- March 18, 2010 It's already Thursday and my picks are in for Nascar Fantasy game at Yahoo. So far so good. I like to be on top. :-) They will be racing in Bristol. My favorite short track and the fastest. I don't expect to see any of the top guns winning this one with the exception of Mark Martin. My black horse is Bobby Labonte. Not sure why so please don't ask. lol Can't wait for the Nascar races this weekend. I missed them this past one but luckily Season 2010 of Formula One racing started. The first race of the F1 Season was uneventful. The first half of the race was boring, no other way to describe it. The second half... a bit less boring. Kudos to Alonso(can't believe I'm actually typing this) and of course Massa and Hamilton. The podium moment was really the only thing I enjoyed last Sunday. I'm glad to see Ferrari 'back' that's for sure. I love the Team. Just not crazy about the drivers. Something inside of me secretly wishes to see Jacques Villeneuve wearing Ferrari Red before he closes the book on F1. And, if not, then I want him to focus on getting a ride for the Montreal Nationwide 2010, The Daytona 500 and LeMans 2011. But,bossman has no boss and he certainly needs to follow his heart. It was nice for the BBC to include JV in the broadcast of the race in Bahrain. From the bits I've heard, he did a fine job. I would say, "Don't quit your day job" but I'm not sure what that is anymore. No one knows. Not even the inner circle. A few weeks 'home' with the boys may help put things in perspective for Villeneuve. Anything is possible, that's a given. Have a wonderful day JVistes. March 14, 2010 Only minutes away now from the start of the GP of Bahrain so not much time to write. But, Best of luck to all the races of the F1 2010 Season. I wasn't impressed with the qualifying yesterday but maybe the race will get me excited again about the new Season. Alot of JV fans feel disappointed he didn't make the grid... yet. Personally, at this point, unless Ferrari, Red Bull or Force India give him a call, I'd rather now see him back home. Racing in the Montreal Nationwide this summer, and focused on getting a good ride for the Daytona 2011. Not to mention the footwork needed to get a ride in the Le Mans 2011 with Audi. :-) Wishful thinking? Perhaps but I am a dreamer. Jacques Villeneuve will be helping with the BBC radio broadcast of the race. I'm sure he'll do a good job. And, I hope he's having fun while he's there. Not many men can say they were invited as a "Legend". Imagine when he does realize the quadruple Crown of Autoracing? Well, they are lining up on the track so it's time to go. Enjoy the race! --- March 10, 2010 They are arriving in Bahrain... Le Grand Prix Legends and of course the F1 Season Teams and Drivers. Jacques Villeneuve is of course participating as a Legend. And, he'll be a great addition to the BBC Radio broadcast of the F1 race. I bet the show itself and the archived podcasts of it, will be as exciting as the race. Have a great time JV. JVistes around the Globe will be proudly watching. Some, may have a sour taste in their mouths wishing He would have snubbed the invite. They definitely aren't over the fact he's not participating in the F1 Bahrain GP and any comeback to F1 is now in limbo. Only time will tell. But, sooooo much can happen this year. Surprises we may not even expect. I'm excited to see Kubica, Schumi, Webber, Vettel, and a few more. This Season, I'm more inspired by the drivers than I am any of the Teams and some of their choices. May the Team Championship be very competitive. May Virgin find a way to conserve. :-) May Lotus have a great rebirth and may Hispania make it through the Season. JV, have a great time. Hold your head up high, we are incredibly proud of you. In the meantime, I must indulge... To see you at the Montreal Nationwide 2010 would be fantastic. It just won't be the same without you. As I continue to hope that sooner than later, you will be back in North America to focus on longterm goals for Nascar and LeMans. Enjoy the evening JVistes and stay safe on the roads Mr. Jones. :-) --- March 8, 2010 It's International Woman's Day! Has everyone forgot!? lol I'm not sure why they want only 1 day but personally, it's Woman's Day everyday at my house. The weather continues to be Springlike. We're only a few days away now from the official start of Spring. And, even fewer days before the beginning of the F1 2010 Season. Kubica remains my favorite driver again this year. I don't like the Team though but I'm patient. I doubt he'll be there for more than 1 Season but you never know. I'm hoping Red Bull does even better this year. Go Webber and Vettel! Best of luck to all. There are several I like and hopefully there will be 4 Teams really competing for the Championship. May the new Lotus, Virgin, and Hispania Teams do well. Certainly anxious to see if Sir Branson's cash buys into another great intro to the grid. It will be a fun time in Bahrain I'm sure. Just can't wait. Before I go on to Nascar... I must send a special shoutout to Pechito Lopez. It breaks my heart to know how bad FIA screwed up. These athletes are tough but as with JV, this young gun had a dream. A dream of a lifetime truly. His beautiful country Argentina backing him all the way. And even that wasn't enough. It is overwhelming when you really think about it. And, dare I say poor JV? No, never! He will be back and if not in F1, he'll move on to realizing the quadruple Crown in racing. He WILL be the first. A couple of Teams used his good name all across the WWW. We all know Villeneuve would be an asset to any Team. In my humble opinion, I want to see him wearing Ferrari Red and nothing else if he returns. It's no secret, I'm one of the few that doesn't like Alonso who is already running his mouth before the Season even starts. Yeah Fernando, 3 0r 4th position by the first 3 races... we'll see. I do wish it for Ferrari, just not crazy about Alonso as their choice. Kubica and JV would be the perfect Stallions. This past weekend, I enjoyed the Nascar Sprint Cup race in Atlanta. I did well again this week with my Fantasy picks, thank you very much! I'm very competitive apparently. :-) Juan Pablo had a great race. So great to watch him racing Nascar. It always reminds me that one day... maybe sooner than later... Jacques Villeneuve will be back on Nascar tracks too. If he isn't busy this summer... would be fantastic to see him at the Montreal Nationwide. Everyone's talking about My Carl who happened to bump young gun Brad. Hey! He didn't mean to flip the car when he nudged him. Carl was just hoping Keselowski would go sideways and get out of his way! ;-) These 2 have some history. Was Carl out of control? No, not at all. Stuff happens and fans love it. Good for Nascar. There are healthy rivalries in every Sport. Time to plan a meal. Enjoy the evening JVistes! March 4, 2010Another beautiful day outside today. It's still early but my birdfeeders are filled with chickadees. I'll be filling 1 feeder with seeds for the Orioles. They should be around soon. No, I am not a crazy bird lady... Just a gal with a touch of pre-Spring Fever. JVistes around the WWW are exhausted from all the non-news. An article here and there from the Dom when some of the more fanatical JV-followers seem lost in cyberland. Look, I would love to see Jacques Villeneuve back racing in F1 or any major racing Series, but I'm sure bossman wants it more than any of us could. If he keeps the faith, we should too. Sometimes, it's not the destination that matters but the journey. Kudos to JV for all his hard work. He's back in tip-top shape. His head is clear. The boys are happy and healthy. All the ducks were in order, he has done his best and as far as I'm told, the fat lady hasn't posted song lyrics on his forums yet. :-) There's no Nationwide this weekend so I can focus on the Sprint Race. I lost a few positions overall in Yahoo Fantasy Nascar game but I'm still in the lead... for now. I'm so disappointed there is no Fantasy UK F1 Yahoo game this year. FIA screwed up the Season so much, even Yahoo can't keep a grip. Anyhoot, I'll play the other 2 Leagues I've also played. Watch out boys! Well, I have a few reports to do today so I better get to it. Have a good one JVistes. The best has yet to come. March 3, 2010 I'm just getting over the roller coaster ride of our Vancouver 2010 Olympics. It's always an emotional time for me. I become obsessed. Not by the spectacle, but by the Spirit. Thank You Canada! Be sure to support the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Games. The Torch relay begins today. Go Canada Go! I've still had time to follow Nascar Series racing, and of course am trying to stay on top of all the Jacques Villeneuve news... Fact or Fiction. :-) The weather has been glorious and I am starting to feel Spring fever. The 2010 F1 Season is starting soon. Honestly, I am disappointed the new Teams did not all make it on the Grid. It would have been great to have a bigger field of drivers on the track just like the good ole days. There will be a few more but nothing is written in stone yet. Certainly a few desperate men were tempted so who is to blame. FIA? I'll say it again, they need to learn a business lesson from Nascar which runs a mean lean machine. Speaking of Nascar, it was a great race in Las Vegas. I still get chills watching Jimmie with Jeff upfront. Man, between the 2 of them... what a gene pool. lol The young guns such as Brad and Joey are exciting to watch. Best of luck to them and the rest. In the Nationwide Series, a much better lineup this year excluding D(I don't want to say the D word). Go Colin! The third makes the month apparently. Let's see what the next 28 have in store for us. The best has yet to come. Have a good one JVistes! February 21, 2010 It's a quiet Sunday morning and I'm on my first cup of coffee. Just finished catching up to my overnight e-mails and truthfully, there wasn't much interesting. With the Olympics, I tend to lose interest in F1 testing this year. I am extremely disappointed that there will be fewer Teams on the Grid in Bahrain than expected. I am even more disappointed at the state of affairs of F1. I don't blame any new Group for wanting 'in' and obviously some were almost deceptive in their plea for money and sponsors. And the powers that be for Formula 1 racing, did nothing to protect the integrity of the sport... Now, they are stuck trying to repair the damage. The Argentinian government support and money, a young driver all set to show up with the goods, you know for sure this is the first of Bernie's worries. If Campos is in, Lopez and Senna would be a perfect fit for the new Team. And without doubt, all the news of Jacques Villeneuve close to signing with... some Team. :-) I can't even say the name right now for different reasons. My mom always said, when you have nothing good to say, say nothing. Nothing. :-) On an up note, the Nationwide Series is off to a great season start. Kudos Kyle! and Brad, Joey, Carl, Colin. And, we can't forget to mention, that all the 2010 Nationwide rookies, with 1 exception, finished in the Top25. This Series has peaked. What out Sprint Cup! And, the D word I won't write, well she didn't do so well. Reality must be sinking in now. If you ask me, the increase in the Nationwide audience has much more to do with the quality of racers this year. Good stuff. I'm down to my last sip of coffee so gotta go brew some more. Enjoy the Olympics! Enjoy the Sprint Cup race today! And, the best is on its way. --- February 18, 2010 A great guy and racer in his own right, is kind enough to let us know there will be some 'real' Jacques Villeneuve news today. A true messenger of hope. :-) Thanks JC and best of luck to you in all your endeavors, we'll be following. Patience is a virtue and it always pays off. Sounds like it will payoff today. The best is on its way... --- Go Canada Go! February 13, 2009, early AM... Bravo Vancouver! Bravo Canada! Bravo Jacques Villeneuve and to all those that 'represent'. I am so proud to be Canadian. Go Canada Go! Quite a few of JV-insiders did a fantastic job keeping JV's participation in the Official Opening of the 2010 Winter Games, a humble secret. Some knew Jacques would not only be there but he would be 1 of 8 exceptional Canadians, who would carry the Olympic flag into the stadium. Let the games begin! He was there in the name of all Canadians, his sons, his family and his precious friends and fans. Thank you, Thank you all. News about F1 seems less important today. The Olympics are by far my favorite events and this Winter 2010 will be the best. Jacques made me so proud last night as did many of our fellow Canadians. Proud, proud moments. Long live the Olympics! Long live the Glorious Maple Leaf! What can I say, I'm still too emotional to be anything less than warm and fuzzy today. May all of us take with us today, a bit of the Beautiful Shining Peace symbolized in the Olympic Flag, and pay it forward in our daily grind. I told you... the best had yet to come. For JVistes, it came and it will come again. --- February 10, 2010 Just about 29 days now until the first practice of F1 Season 2010 in Bahrain and JVistes are stuck to their computers or mobiles, waiting for the Big news. Some more than others. :-) I have been crazy busy with work but luckily it's not the quantity of time online that matters. It's the quality of your sources. It used to be, when there was only print, radio and TV... users were loyal to their sources. With offline media, you knew they had checked the sources first. These days, a user defines his own sources and too often, they are posts, blogs and information that is regurgitated over and over and over again. Personally, I am not a cow. If it's not from bossman's mouth, if it's not from Mr. Jones, and if it's not from a true insider to Jacques Villeneuve or F1, it's not a duck! This morning, as with every morning, I opened my computer to let in the hundreds of e-mails I get overnight. I see a notification of a new post on my Wall, from a good friend in Buenos Aires who tells me "I think JV is now more than ever on the run to partner JM :)" Considering this source has been right about everything and was the person who confirmed to me months ago, who Villeneuve had spoken to. Ever since, alot of little pieces of fact are sent to me. No questions asked, no reasons given. A small network of people interested in the autoracing news industry, helping each other out. Just like the good 'ole days... ahhh the Montreal Press Club in the late 70s and up until the early 80s. Sorry, I'm rambling. But, all this to say - There is only 1 truth when it comes to fact and people have to be very careful when they select their truth online. Keep it real, like Jacques always has. Silence is golden and the next sound you'll hear will be the Big Bang. Real news about JV and his future in Formula 1 racing. The best has yet to come. In the meantime, it's time for Nascar Baby! The Daytona 500 is the place to be this week. Best of luck Juan Pablo, Carl, Jimmie, Jeff, and all the young guns. I won't mention the "D" word here. She's had enough press. lol Have a glorious day JVistes! --- January 4, 2010 Happy 2010! I don't have much time to chat at the Watercooler but thought I should clear something up. JV attended the wedding of good friend(former PA) Jules P in Australia. Not business, just pleasure. He deserves some R & R. We all have our fingers crossed... And, a friend in Argentina today told me Rossiter could very well be US F1 second driver. Let's hope he's backup if JV's ducks fall through. :-) All the best JVistes in 2010! --- Nov. 23, 2009 Congrats to Jimmie Johnson! It was a great great race at the Homestead to finish up the Sprint Cup Season and clinch a fourth consecutive Championship for JJ. History was made. I'm in a bit of a hurry today so don't have much time to chat for long at Lous Watercooler. But, News in South America is that Lopez WILL sign with USF1. There should be a Press Conference in Buenos Aries in about a week or 2 to announce officially. And, apparently Lopez will be flying to Austria for some training. Sound familiar? Are we close to hearing JV is also close to signing? We'll all know eventually but for a JVistes, it's never soon enough! Have a good one. Later... --- Nov. 20, 2009 Did you miss me? ;-) It's been a very busy week full of surprises. Good and bad but mostly good. Jacques Villeneuve's name is buzzing on the Net. Does he or doesn't he have a serious pre-agreement and with who... Word got out earlier this week that there may be some news. JV announced he was in Austria, training hard. No pain no gain as they say. Finally, he's showing how serious he is about a possible return to F1. Until this week, I and many others were still very cautious about the rumors on the Net. Now, I'm less cautious. :-) On the South American side, the Press reports that Jose "Pechito" Lopez was in Charlotte this week with a strong pre-agreement with a great photo of him and the bossmen in front of USF1 Headquarters. Hmmmm... A few weeks ago, there was a rumor circulating in South America that Lopez and Villeneuve were part of the big picture, as Teammates. The deal apparently initally didn't go through but this weeks news brought the possibility into the forefront again. Now, are both camps simply spinning this to their advantage? Probably and if not it's a great fluke. All this to say that 1 week ago I was disappointed I would not be seeing Villeneuve in the Daytona 500, Montreal Napa, etc... Today, I'm over it and my love for F1 racing will only increase if Jacques is back. JV's talent and knowledge would benefit any of the Teams. If not, he'll have a full year to work on a chance at Nascar's Daytona 500 2011. Speaking of Nascar, it's the last race of the Season at the Homestead. For the Sprint Cup Championship, it's Jimmie Johnson or Mark Martin. Both deserve it but man, would it be great to see Mark Martin winning it at his age and after a short-lived retirement. His years of experience have brought back the older audience. In a World where many careers end at 35 or younger only because for a long time 'they' thought they had to cater to the young and beautiful, it's refreshing. Remember, 50 is the new 35. Jacques will return and may he have the same luck. Special kudos to Juan Pablo Montoya. A great ambassador for Nascar racing and what a fantastic job he has done so far. Next year JPM and then JV takes over. Kudos to Kyle Busch for his Nationwide success. Congrats to our own Andrew Ranger. Can't wait to see him in the Toyota All-Star race. Enjoy the races at the Homestead this weekend JVistes. The Best has yet to come but he's in Austria getting ready. Hope is a beautiful thing. Fingers crossed Mr. Jones. :-) --- Friday November 13, 2009 I wish I was writing about the Phoenix(JV) rising but I'm afraid someone forgot to light the fire... Maybe next year if he's lucky. In the meantime, I am enjoying the Nascar 2009 Season and this weekend we get to watch our own Alex Tagliani in the Nationwide race. Always great to see a fellow Quebecer in Nascar. Perhaps not exciting enough for 'some'. In a recent interview for a European magazine, JV is quoted as saying that he quickly got bored with both Nascar and TopRace6 Series and he's been concentrating on a return to F1 instead. Why anyone lets him carry a loaded gun when he's already shot himself in one foot, is beyond me. Craig!!! Until the fog clears, enjoy the Nascar races this weekend JVistes! --- October 21, 2009 It's Wednesday morning and coffee is on. I'm hoping it will turn out to be a delicious day. I got my invite to the Gilles Villeneuve Museum Benefit 2009. It's at Buffet Roma this year and it should be a nice change. Now all I need is a date. lol The Habs won last night. Hard to believe but it had been 203 days since their last win at home. It was a tough time for Bergeron for sure but don't get me started on that... lol On some level, I was hoping another loss would prompt some coaching changes. In my fantasy world, Robinson is Head Coach, Nilan, Schutt and Roy the assistants. Then, Gainey needs to get cooking on the winning recipe for the secret sauce. Sorry if I'm making anyone hungry. Was tempted earlier by some great food photos. Domestic porn. lol Nascar is getting ready for race 6 of the Chase. Kudos AGAIN to Jimmie J. He made history again having won 3 of the first 5 Chase races. To watch Jimmie and Jeff work together on the track. A legend pushing a legend in the making. I miss Jacques Villeneuve in Nascar. Remember to e-mail your favorite driver vote. There's still time. Congrats to Jenson and Brawn. It was a great race in Brazil. Jarno was pissed off for sure and I thoroughly enjoyed his catching up to Sutil who took him out. Webber and Hamilton had a fine race and My Kubica finished second which inspires me to dream big again. Next year, next year... Kimi was on fire! In the pits. It took a fire to get him back on track. lol Last stop, Abu Dhabi. The Hotels are sold out and the buzz has started. It will be a great end to Season 2009. If there's a party you don't want to miss, this is it. People to watch, Kuno Wittmer and Joanna Long. Just my humble opion. :-) And, let's keep watch for some Jacques Villeneuve news soon. Will he join the party in Abu Dhabi? Or, is he coming back home soon? Not sure why but I can't stop singing "Chucky's In Love" for some reason. Gotta go dream more dreams. Join me. Go JV Go! --- October 15, 2009 It was a quiet autoracing news week considering it's the 5th Race of the Chase and it's the Brazilian GP this weekend. No surprises during Practice on either fronts. It drizzled for both. :-) My JVWorld Group Fantasy Yahoo F1 UK picks are in. I'm teetering on my A Driver but have learned to leave well enough alone. It's always a fun and competitive Season. Hope we do it again next year. Kudos Lyria! Rubens has a confidence about him and rightfully so. Come on! How many years? How many Brazilian GPs? He tweeted this past week that he finally has a grip on the Brazilian Press. Famous last words... Button seems to be taking JV's advice and he's stancing like a Peacock albeit a boring display. :-) Speaking of boredom... Massa who's had nothing better to do this week than backtrack on his comments regarding his future teammate Alonso, needs to find something to do while he recovers and returns to work. Personally, I preferred his original statements. Go Nelson Go! To Nascar! Usually by Friday I'm praying for Kubica but this week I'm changing Saints and praying for Montoya. He's making this year's Chase so exciting. JPM deserves all the glory this year. He's brought International attention bigtime to Nascar. Imagine what Jacques Villeneuve riding a full Sprint Cup Season in a competitive car. Dream big JVistes. The best has yet to come. Speaking of dreams, I had a dream. lol JV confirmed for LeMans 2010 and NOT with Peugeot. And, a ride for the Daytona 2010 followed by a full Nascar Season in either the Nationwide or Sprint. Congrats to My Carl(I guess I'll stop calling him that now) and wife who are expecting their first child. He'll be a great Dad for sure but my bubble is burst. :-( lol Lastly, talk about make my day... Thanks C Nilan, you made a crisp Autumn Day glorious. You've made last night's loss a fading memory. Irish boys from Boston rock! xo It's Friday night, enjoy JVistes and Cheers! --- October 14, 2009 It's only 10AM but I've been up for quite sometime. Just finished up a report that was due yesterday and thought I'd come by the Watercooler for a sip and a break from work. It's pretty quiet these days but fingers remain crossed for some JV 2010 news. :-) In the meantime, it's hump day and the hype begins for upcoming Nascar and F1 races this weekend. I'm not doing well with my Nascar Media Chase Tracker picks at all. Miss USA is beating my butt! lol We had to choose the 12 Chasers' positions for the 10 Chase races. You can't take it too seriously, we're all playing for fun. I haven't checked my score this week but I'm near the bottom and at this point I doubt I'll catch up enough to move up the ranks. JVistes also has a Group playing the Yahoo Nascar Fantasy game. This I take seriously and am determined to win this year. :-) In Formula 1, they'll be racing in Brazil this weekend. It's always a great race. Rubens seems to think he has a chance but my money is on Vettel. In my fantasy world, Kubica wins this one. I'll have to begin a new novena... miracles do happen in the Church of Lous.(no offense to any organized group or religion). Speaking of Faith, good thoughts to Mary. A friend called late yesterday from Anguilla. I hadn't spoke to her aside from e-mails since early Summer. Although the reason for the call wasn't to share good news, I was so happy to hear from her. We had time to touchbase and catch up with our personal lives but mostly, it reminded me how each one of us is so important to our Team. An incredible group of people that make me love what I do. It's a family affair. :-) On that note, may you all have family and friends to share your dreams with. Dream big JVistes, the best has yet to come. --- October 11, 2009 I'm up early today but not to watch a F1 race. Family is coming for brunch today and I wanted to start cooking early. I've had my first sips of coffee, read some e-mails and listened to an interview Jacques Villeneuve did recently in Argentina. As we all wait for news from JV, many Series and Teams are already getting ready for 2010. It's only October and the trend seems to be November is Villeneuve news month. :-) At least, that's prime time for his press conferences in the past. BTW, bossman is in Brussels. Let's see what rumors stem from this trip. lol Meanwhile, back on this side of the pond, Fontana's Nationwide Race was full of surprises. Joey Logano won the race but Dad Tom who had choice words for Biffle when it was over, lost his Hard Card. You don't fool with Mother Nascar! I hope Kyle Busch is feeling better today. He was down and out with the flu yesterday and had to be replaced by Hamlin on Lap 39. He says he'll be good to race today. Kyle, the flu is contagious eh? :-) Stay away from my Carl! lol It's been a quiet news week on the autoracing front but it's October. The end of Season approaching and working to finalize logistics for 2010. American LeMans Series is growing and should have its best Season yet in 2010. Extreme Speed Motorsports, Scott Sharp's new Team, will compete in the GT2 class, driving Ferrari 430 GTC and be sponsored by The Patrón Spirits Company. Good stuff. News has it that Coulthard is in the US discussing a possible return to sportscar racing. More and more International racers are coming to America in hopes of starting a second or third career. This just can't happen in Europe that much anymore. The young-guns rule the Euro-World yet there are really only a handful of potential future Champions. The new team, USF1, is back to the drawing board. They probably do want Jacques Villeneuve now but does he want them? And who the hell is Summerton? lol Jonathan Summerton is gunning for a ride with USF1. He's doing well in the Atlantic Championship Series having just won in Atlanta. He's second in the standings behind Simona De Silvestro. Girl's on Top! Speaking of girls... not much talk about Danica this past week. Phew! At this point, I don't think any Series would really benefit from signing her. Just my humble opinion. :-) --- Today's the start of JVWorldRacing League's 2009-2010 F1 Sim Racing Season. Best of luck boyz... show em what you've got! --- Enjoy the Sprint Cup race later today. Dream big JVistes, the best is yet to come. October 6, 2009 She's back! Thinking about October 6, 1945... You DO bring it with you. After being away for a couple of weeks, it's great to be back writing about the Nascar Chase. With 3 races done, Mark Martin is still in the lead but Jimmie is very close behind. And again, what can I say about Juan Pablo who is in third position going into the 4th race of the almighty Chase. He was seeing his chiro earlier today. Hope you are in top shape for this weekend's race. His accomplishments in Nascar have been incredible in such a short time. He seriously has a very good chance to win the Sprint Cup Series this year. Kudos to Andrew Ranger who sealed the Canadian Tire Series championship this past weekend in Ontario. All he had to do was start the race... he finished 9th and the rest is now history. :-) We'll be seeing our homeboy with the other Champs in the Toyota All-Star showdown. All we need to know now is - Will Jacques Villeneuve have a ride in Nascar in 2010? I think the Phoenix will rise again very soon. It may be wishful thinking but wishful thinking really can change the World. Dream big JVistes, the best has yet to come. And don't forget to e-mail fanfeedback@nascar.com and let them know "Jacques Villeneuve" is your favorite driver. Mark Martin is helping get back the older Nascar audience that was dwindling. JPM, brought a whole new audience to Nascar. Good stuff. Jacques, he can do both. Nascar needs him. :-) Believe me, Nascar is a savvy business machine. I say the balls in his court now! The Nationwide series has Kyle in the lead with My Carl second. Young gun Brad Keselowski is giving them a run for their money. Rumors of Danica Patrick are surfacing again. Nascar reports JR Motorsports may be interested for the Nationwide Series. There are a few young ladies up and coming in the lesser Nascar series and I personally would rather wait for them to come up in the ranks. Hornaday leads the Camping World Truck Series. Who da thunk that eh? lol The rumor I most appreciate is the one about Nelson Piquet Jr. getting a chance at a ride in the Nascar Truck Series. How I would have wanted things to be different for him in F1 this year. I hope he gets another chance to show us what he's got! Any chance to see Senior every weekend would put a smile on my face for sure(my first F1 love lol). Speaking of F1... It was a great race in Japan. Kudos Vettel for keeping me in the top ten of Yahoo Fantasy F1 UK! The big non-news this past week or so, was the confirmation that Fernando had signed with Ferrari for 3 years. Apparently, Schumi had alot to do with Ferrari finalizing the deal. It just doesn't do it for me. That said, at least Kubica will be getting a better chance next year if he signs with Renault. There were other Teams interested. I guess they see what I see. A legend in the making, at least according to moi. I really like Kubica. There's something about his racing style that reminds me of Senna. I can't quite put it into words yet but there is gold inside. Speaking of gold - Jacques is in Vegas. Hopefully, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. It's a great place to play but also a fantastic place to live. Come home soon JV. Home is where your Mustang is! Geez, I hope she didn't get the Mustang too! lol September 22, 2009 Still down but not out with the flu. I'm glad the weekend is over. Had a house full of boyz needing attention but I made it! Feels very satisfying.
Mark Martin deserved the win in New Hampshire. A great start to the Chase. And way to go Juan Pablo! Ola! He's 4th in the Chase. Haven't heard any openwheeler insults this year. Just imagine what Jacques Villeneuve could accomplish in a second or third full Sprint Cup Season. JV really should be working 100% on a Nascar future. It's not like 'when I'm ready' I'll go to Nascar. It takes work and committment. Fundamental values in Nascar. Here in Canada, Andrew Ranger can already taste a second Nascar Canadian Tire Series Championship. All he has to do is start the final race. Way to go Andrew. He didn't let himself get sidetracked this year with rides in Nationwide Series. Lesson learned last year. With a 2009 Championship, we'll be seeing our boy in Nascar's Toyota All-Star Showdown, opening Nascar's 2010 season. With a couple under his belt, he's paying his dues and I wish him all the luck in getting a ride up so to speak for the future. In the Nationwide Series, Carl and Kyle will be fighting it out until the end I'm sure. They make the Series so much fun to watch. For Carl, he seems to have what it takes to be consistent in both. Kyle, hasn't been lucky in the Sprint Cup Series. Is it his style of racing? Just bad luck? Something just not right with the dynamics of his team? Really doesn't matter in my humble opinion. :-) Kyle is a Superstar. We all live vicariously through racers such as him. A beautiful wild mustang. Glorious to watch but wild horses must be tamed. Kyle will get better with age. Mr. Jones and JV are on their way to Singapore. Have funs guys but selfishly, I do not wish you luck. Unless of course you come home wearing FRed or Wings(I know, that's getting old now). In F1, it's an hour or 2 of watching Qualifying and the Race. The rest of it is all the dirty laundry. The Tabloids play nice compared to what they publish online regarding F1. Simply out of control. But hey, who cares if business is down, the F1 merchandise NOT selling, and fan forums moving on to another Chat forum like it matters. Sorry if I sound disillusioned but I am. Maybe seeing bossman in a Ferrari in Montreal GP 2010 will make me feel all better. Well, my job takes me to many places in cyberland and I'm almost ready to move on. Once I do what I need to, it's time to start fresh. Next stop, Lous-Watercooler.com. :-) JP who I gave this site to, is back and working on it getting the JVistes jvworldracing league's Season 2009-2010 ready. Drop in to jvworldracing to show them what you've got. September 20, 2009 I've been down and out with a wicked virus and it's kept me away from my computer for a solid 24 hours. My work schedule is flexible and I usually put in some work every day. So, my trips to Lous Watercooler have been rare since Friday. I'm just catching up now... Well, JVistes, the Top Race 6 event this weekend in Argentina was a flop for Jacques Villeneuve. A nice trip to Buenos Aires is all it was. As for the race, my Mom always said, when you have nothing good to say, say nothing. "Nothing!" lol I'm sure Jacques had a nice time. He'll be doing alot of traveling again, meeting up with Mr. Jones and off to Singapore with a plan. A definite plan. JV's personal assistant is a creative fellow. Thanks for the countdown. The queue for 2 was brilliant. :-) There are a few little opportunities but again, although a huge fan of F1, I don't think Jacques should return. If he's offered a ride for an appearance in Montreal's return of the GP in 2010, that's fine. I'll be there anyway. But, unless he gets a ride with a contender, it will only backfire. Been there and done that! Craig, where are you Craig! :-) I'm really hoping Mr. Jones, who is also a close friend to bossman, will know how to keep him focused with the eye on the prize. I kinda understand where Jacques' head is at this year but beware the temptation. Go to Singapore. Have media all around the World print your name. Have fun. But, Please come home and start seriously working on a longterm future. Personally, I haven't really seen much happen this side of the Pond. Speaking of this side of the Pond, the JVistes Sim Racers are gearing up for another jvworldracing Season 2009-2010. If you haven't already submit a request to join, please do so at, Join JVistes' jvworldracing Sim Racing 2009-2010 September 16, 2009 Started working early again today and seeing I needed a break I decided to make an appearance at the Watercooler. :-) Luckily the Coffee Center is right next to it. I needed a Starbuck's Breakfast brew. Not much to report. Jacques Villeneuve is enjoying Argentina and we all wish him a great race weekend. Mr. Jones has been counting down. 6 Days left or as we say here in Quebec, "6 dodos". Are we counting down the departure for Singapore? The boys will have a grand time for sure but please Mr. Jones, do bring him back home to us. It's hard not to wish JV well on his attempt of a return to F1 racing but at the same time, unless he can get a competitive serious ride, is he simply returning for a last taste of what used to be... Personally, my heart was set on focusing on Nascar because the bigger picture is about the quadruple Crown of autoracing and a long career here at home in North America. Selfish perhaps but I'm a big girl and I can handle a postponement to the Big Dream. lol We'll see. Bossman certainly seems to have a plan this time. Question is, timing. With all the Renault scandal, will Team Owners have any time in Singapore for 2010 plans. Recently, F1 seems to be running from Grand Prix to Grand Prix let alone planning final logistics for next year's Season. Like I've said before, they can learn a lesson or two from the Nascar machine. Focus on running a solid business using the KISS approach. F1 is a pinnacle product that is spinning out of control. Then again, with F1, scandal is often used as a smokescreen to hide real issues. Fundamentally, who is in charge. There can be only 1 Chairman of the Board and it can't be unbiased. Just my opinion. Thanks for letting me indulge. Have enjoyed the Java but got to get back to work. Maybe I should get dressed though too. Never know who'll showup at Lous Watercooler. Just because this is Cyberland, first impressions are always important. Ola! Esta linda lucia! ;-) --- September 15, 2009 Ola! Best of luck Jacques Villeneuve in the TRV6 race this weekend. And, I hope you take the time to enjoy the nightlife. We want pics Mr. Jones. Esta linda. :-) On our own Continent, the Nascar Chase 2009 begins in beautiful New Hampshire. The Top 12 this year excludes Kyle but Juan Pablo has a serious chance at the Sprint Cup. If you don't follow JPM yet on Twitter, you should. He's a blast. And, I wish him a great Chase. Would be happy to see any of the legends win, Mark, Jimmie or Jeff but of course my heart belongs to Carl. :-) Kyle and Carl will fight it out until the end for the Nationwide Championship. It's such a close call in that Series but my money is on Kyle for the Nationwide. Today felt like Fall 09 was really almost here. And Nascar's is ready for 2010 having announced both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup schedules. And, The muscle is back in 2010 for Nascar. I'd love to see Jacques riding a Mustang or Challenger in Montreal next year. F1 should learn a thing or two from such a big mean Nascar machine. Still so much up in the air and so much remains undone. Who'll step up to the plate and be the promoter for a Montreal GP return. What will happen to my Nelson's Nelson? Will Kubica get a ride to show the world his magic? Will I have to see Button on top of the Podium again this year? Later JVistes. -- September 13, 2009 Hmmm, someone's been playing in my sandbox. :-) In the meantime, thanks so much to all JVistes who take the time to visit. The site has been doing well despite the fact there isn't much in the news about Jacques Villeneuve. Again, goes to show that JV fans are the best. Jacques is busy with life as a single Dad actively thinking about his future. People have asked if it really was him Tweeting and the answer is yes, him or his personal assistant helping out. Seems like a great guy and good friend. Exactly what JV needs taking care of business and family. He's more than willing to help out when he can, and is overseeing jv-world biz these days. If you have photos or a story to share, I can pass it on. Maybe the fans can submit some great content to keep the site current. :-) It's Sunday and the F1 GP will soon begin. Enjoy the race JVistes! May everyone have a nice quiet day and may my sandbox be free of intruders. :-) September 11, 2009 I woke up and turned on CNN as usual for a quick update on what is making the news on this beautiful September 11, 2009 in Montreal... And, I remembered. 8 years and we still are looking for closure. The war in Afghanistan. To all our boys over there and everywhere, Thank YOU. To my son, an up and coming Fireman and Rescue 1st Respondant, we remember your fallen brothers. To my dog, Rudy G., born in 2001 soon after 9/11. Your namesake was the first face I saw walking through the dust, trying to console the brothers of the fallen. To the priest they tenderly carried and laid to rest on the alter. May they all rest in peace. --- It's been a very rough morning. My Internet and Cable were down so I was completely offline. Being online is my business. It's my job. I am on the WWW because I get paid to be here. That said, my life was a wreck today. It started gloriously. Nico called to take me out for breakfast. His job in Hudson was postponed and I had nothing to do. It was great. Short, sweet, not much said but he's looking fine and he's happy. What a catch he will be. :-) Without Internet, am I useless? Am I valuable and productive? If I make a sound, does anyone hear me? lol Obviously, with over 1500 e-mail still coming in, they didn't hear me. They didn't hear me swear up and down that one day, one day Alice... To The Moon! Yes, one day I swear I will be self-sufficient. Personally, been there and have that. Finacially, ditto. Job is all about being self-made, in-house as they say. Spiritually, I'm still on a Novena for Kubica with Ferrari, Jacques with Petty, and Will I Am ruling the world(although Obama is close enough). All that said, does it really matter. Offline, I mowed 20,000 square feet of lawn. Haven't touched the flower and planting beds yet but the grass is cut. My 2 loads of wash are done. Kitchen clean and ready for my next fest. Beds made. Bathrooms clean. Dog fed and loved. Yet, I worried myself sick about being offline and being unproductive. Go figure. No wonder the Mental Health Association finally determined that the Internet is officially an addiction. Like I didn't know(that's why I get paid the big bucks as Mary in Accounting would say :-)). So, I must go and catch up to all the people needing or wanting something from me(and it's always a pleasure) but before I do. Go Kubica! Go Ferrari! Go Lewis! my picks for the Italian GP. Hands off my Piquets!!!! God, please forgive them for they know not what they do. lol And, go Kyle. This is it. Jacques, Jacques, Jacques, have Mr. Jones call me. :-) The best is yet to come. Enjoy a great weekend of Nascar and F1 racing. Dream big JVistes! --- September 8, 2009 Bonne Fête Jesse. 21 ans jeune homme. Je t'aimes. :-) I don't usually like September at all but the 8th is always special. I start thinking on the 7th and until I lay my head to rest tonight, it's all about you. 'How wonderful life is, with you in the World'. I've been away too long and I missed most of the Nascar races this past weekend in Atlanta. Kudos Kasey K. You kept me on top. :-) My Carl had some bad luck this past week. Despite a broken foot, he raced in both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup. He didn't do too well but managed a 7th place finish Saturday night. Kyle takes lead in the Nationwide Series standings, having finished second, again. :-) Consistency scores points though. lol In the Sprint Cup series, Kyle really must win in Richmond. It's his last chance to clinch the Chase. Go Kyle! Patrick Carpentier did not qualify for the Sprint Cup race but he continues to smile. Is Jacques Villeneuve smiling these days? It's anyone's guess really but I am reminded about Charlie Chaplin's great song, Smile. Life really is a beach and if not, it's a fashion house in Milan! Enjoy the Italian Grand Prix JVistes. Should be a great great race. Best of luck to the jvworld F1 fantasy crew. When in Rome... Ancora, buon compleanno. Ti amo Jesse. xo --- Saturday morning and it's raining in the Montreal area. Probably will rain all day. We'll all get to see Nationwide on rain tires. Will they practice and qualify in the rain? Let's hope the day is not washed up at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Kyle B. won the Nascar Truck race in Chicago last night. Kudos Kyle. Best of luck today to Carl and Marcus. Carl was seen yesterday trying out the new wheels. I had to chuckle when he was asked, "How's the 'new' track" referring to the recent repavement. It caught him off guard and he admits "Gosh, I hadn't even noticed the new track." Too busy trying to notice the new car. He was slipping and sliding. New track? Or, just new super car. :-) And of course, good luck to all our Quebecois racers and Canadian Pride. Bonjour Quebec! Well, I'm off now on another adventure. Bigger, better, and faster than the last. Stay tuned for Lous-Watercooler coming soon to a monitor near you. :-) August 21, 2009 Bristol... a great track and it should be a great race weekend. It's really coming down to the wire now for the Chase. Tony is still in the lead but I don't think Bristol will be a good race for him. I'd like to see Jeff or Carl win this one. Best of luck to the JVistes Nascar Fantasy players. I'm back on top so JPL is a little disappointed to say the least. He's threatening to quit of course, stupid game he says. Funny, I had heard he was trying to start up his own Fantasy game over at the dead-zone. Partyboy needs to get an offline life. It's a game in cyberland! They aren't real trophies or medals! lol Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is getting ready for the big boys to roll into town next week. It will be a fun time. A dream to be there on the track is something to wish for. I love Nascar and this year it will be a grand event. Jacques' being there will attract all the Quebec media but I hope this year they know enough to follow the race. Hey, maybe they can even get a few interviews with the Nationwide regulars.I'm counting on Rusty to get JV at the desk for an interview. He's ripe for Nascar now. :-) A few of the downtown Hotels are booked solid. The Delta will be the checkpoint for most out of town media when they aren't at the track. May the weather be good this year! JV is back home and is ready to roll. He was out and about in Montreal yesterday it seems. It was business, not pleasure but he does have a wonderful glow about him again. Must have been a hell of a ride in SC. Great foreplay. :-) Dream big JVistes, the best is yet to come. August 16, 2009 It's hot in South Carolina and Jacques is down there working. :-)He seemed like a different man following the end of the race yesterday in Trois Rivieres. Hopefully, the worse is over for him. Quite a man, couldn't of been easy these past few weeks and to arrive at the GP3R with his personal life making the news, I'm impressed. Jacques is back on track. Now all there's left to do, is some great prep work. Remember that mission to Nascar plan... take the reigns, don't count on anyone but yourself. Rules I live by and it's made my life sweet and others' lives better. South Carolina... that reminds me, to all my co-workers making it down to the Citadel this week, enjoy, good luck with the course we're giving and I'll be there in spirit. Better you than me. lol August 13, 2009 If you're a regular here at Lous' Watercooler, you know I've mentioned that the Misses JV, hadn't been seen with JV since April... Well it's official, Jacques is divorced. Short and sweet. Two beautiful young boys and JV who has already moved on. Best of luck to them all. Now, it's time to race! A friend who arrived yesterday in Trois Rivières said the hotels were still half empty. They'll probably arrive today. He says he's never seen so little people at GP3R the day before the event begins. I think it's just the calm before the storm. For weeks, I've been trying to get a nice room or 2 for a photographer and friend and no luck. I'm guessing some will hope to find a room when the get there. And they will be there, in droves. Several of the racers took the time yesterday to visit the sick children at the Hospital. Tag, Ranger, and several others put smiles on faces and left feeling good about what they do. Everyone's in a good mood. Dream Big JVistes! The Best is Yet to Come! August 12, 2009 I'm just coming up for air which reminds me, I had a dream. lol Seriously, I dreamt Red Bull/Nascar was Jacques new ride. Why I had Red Bull on my mind at all is beyond me. They are trying to rule the world and that's fine, I'm just not sure they have a good ride right now for JV. But, it would be a start. Keep in mind, this really was a dream I had. Not a wish, so let's be clear. I want JV elsewhere in Nascar but whatever it takes will be fine with me. If Red Bull can give Villeneuve back his Wings, the Phoenix will rise again. :-) It's time again JVistes for the new 2009-2010 Season of jvworldracing. It's a great online racing league so be sure join. You can contact JP the moderator formerly known as jazz at JV's fan site. Or, contact us here and we'll pass it on. If you're a JVistes, come and show us what you've got! In the meantime, have a Red Bull and use those wings to fly to the GP3R. The trucks will start rolling in soon. Great, great job this year by the organizers. I gotta a feeling, I got a feeling, that Friday night will be a good night... August 11, 2009 Catching up to e-mail and work was productive yesterday and if all goes well, I'll be up to date on most of it. I only caught the highlights of the Sprint Cup race yesterday. Kudos Tony Stewart. And, although Kyle finished 4th, it was a great race for him too. It's serious now, every race important for the current top 13. A few more to go and it's Chase time. Jacques Villeneuve is flying back today with his boys. He'll barely have time to unpack and he'll be off to the GP3R. I did my best to talk my PartyBoy into going but Trois Rivières Hotels are sold out. Most of the area is. It's just a nice drive away and personally, room or not, GP3R is the place to be this week. As much as I would like to see Andrew Ranger win another one to increase his lead in the Canadian Tire Nascar Series, I do want JV to win. He needs to be reminded what he should be focusing on. Recently I caught the Historia channel's history of the Mont Tremblant circuit(si j'avais un char...). It's always a trip down memory lane when I see any clips of Gilles' No 2 Ferrari. Some of the best racers in history raced and won in Tremblant. There is no other circuit quite like it here in North America. If you won there, you probably were among the best. Actually, I believe this is where bossman's Dream was born. The Triple Crown. Graham Hill rocked but J Villeneuve will be the only one to have the 4th jewel, Nascar. Audi can wait for Jacques' LeMans win. He needs to get his ride in Nascar first. :-) Montoya gave a great interview pre-race at the Glen. To date, his explanation of the thrill of Nascar versus his open-wheel experiences, has been the best. More and more JVistes who knew nothing of Nascar are slowly but surely enjoying this great North American autoracing series. The drivers actually 'drive' and everyone has a chance. Sometimes 3 and 4 wide and pack racing as a unit. Hey, 43 on the starting grid and now, double-file restarts. I can go on and on but Jacques will do a much better job as ambassador than I can. Nascar needs you JV! Another big point everyone understands about Nascar, there have been prodigees and great legends but they all knew it was about committment and very hard work. Hours and hours and travelling almost every week. Survival of the fittest the way it should be. Best of luck Kuno. Time to get to my office and to work. My pleasuredome. :-) August 10, 2009 Another quiet, lazy-day summer weekend over. I wanted to veg out but my man decided it was time to clean up his old grotto(home office). Argh! Men just can't clean up paperwork by themselves. I have my own office to deal with so I felt no compassion but I knew it would be at least another 7 years until next purge if I didn't get involved. I won't go into the details of what that room looked like but it's bright and cheery again and no longer his office. It was a bitter-sweet time, facing years and years of time wasted without anything to show for it except for alot of dead trees. It had to be done so he could finally move forward. With his new setup for online racing and his racing league(s), he really needed more room. The east side bedroom is much bigger and so it is being converted into the Racing/Viewing/Library/OnlineOffice/Cinema. Boys and their toys! We can't live with them and they can't live without them. lol Today was officially my back to work day so I was up at dawn trying to catch up to my priority list. I'm only 6 hours into my day and I'm already tired hence, my lunch/more-New-Orleans-brew time. Sometimes it's so hard to step away from the office and frankly, I miss it when I'm on vacation. If there is 1 thing I can recommend to anyone who has a hectic online schedule, it would be Site Build It!. If you have a passion, it's a great way to release your day to day tension. Either 15 minutes a day, or at least 1 hour a week. Doctor's orders! :-)
The Sprint Cup race should be starting soon. It should be a great race. It's hot and sticky and I'm hoping there won't be any rain. Nascar is still not ready to introduce rain tires/racing wet for the Sprint Cup series(approved for Nationwide only). Too bad but with all the rain delays, postponements, and qualification cancellations, The cost to Nascar and its fans, is high so I'm sure they will be revisting their decision in time for 2010. Jacques Villeneuve should be home soon. It's time for GP3R. Dream big JVistes! August 7, 2009 My partner aka PartyBoy is still asleep. He must have stayed up most of the night setting up the first prototype of his SRS I(Sim Racing Simulator One :-)). I would have liked him to call it Simanus but that didn't go over well with him at all. Wonder why. lol I'd rather see him racing at Icar with my girl but no, he's been hooked for years on Sim Racing. It's a really big business now and soon, IRacing will sponsor a ride in Nascar. Times they are a changin... Well, looks like the Camaro will not be coming back to the Nationwide Series next year. But, the Challenger and Mustang will be. It's a great move and the way Nascar should be. I love muscle... not so much on men but on cars. Muscle cars belong in Nascar. I'm an old-school kinda gal. Nothing says "Im big and strong, don't mess with me" more than a muscle car. Historically, when times are tough, cars get tougher. :-) It's just the way things need to be. PartyBoy and I have already started thinking about parking a Challenger next to Eleanor and The girl next year. He spotted one earlier this week and has been in-lust ever since. I've always liked them or any big beautiful Dodge. May not be my future Bentley but I need both leather and lace. lol Yes, JVistes, I dream big. Everyday and all the time. Kyle came and went. I'm not sure what our hometown media was expecting but they all seem shocked that he was so sweet. Kyle had it easy yesterday. No wonder they love Montreal. Best of luck today KB in practice and Qualifying. He'll be on the track non-stop until it's over at the Glen. I'm anxious to see Juan Paulo who's hot hot hot. And what about Superman Jimmie and points leader Stewart? The 'experts' don't think it will be there week at the Glen but you can never ever underestimate these two. Of course, I always have a soft spot for my Carl. He does well every race and I would be delighted to see him backflip. I'll give him the Nationwide but not the Sprint Cup because that would ruin my weekly Fantasy picks. lol Mirabel's Icar is getting ready for Jacques return too. They've started the promo again and the invites. As you know, JV is participating in the GP Karting de Mirabel 2009 Aug 21-23. This will be a fun time and a great way for Jacques to wind down a bit from his win in 3R(at the least, a finish) before he prepares for the Napa 200 Montreal Nationwide race. Kudos to Icar and Jesse James. It's my last Friday off until more vacation time at the end of the month. It was great and I loved Bora Bora. Next year, I'm dreaming Anguilla. BTW, if you want to know more about Anguilla,be sure to visit anguilla-beaches.com. Nori's site rocks! Life is a sweet adventure. All the best Yuki and Nori. The World is your Oyster. Dream big as always, the best is almost ready to start. August 6, 2009 Another glorious sunshiney day and perfect weather for some great Nascar races at the Glen. As most JVistes know, Jacques is not replacing Sorenson yet... Ooops! meant is not replacing him this weekend. :-) Now read into that what you want but I wouldn't want to start another unfounded rumor. lol The good news is, Watkins Glen will rock this weekend. It is too bad Jacques isn't there but we're glad Reed is feeling better from the carbon monoxide poisoning. That said, hope he continues to improve. You never know. :-) RPM would be a great team for Villeneuve. It's so great to know he was their choice as a retainer. I'm sure Barry G wasn't expecting the call. JV knew he was the 'retainer' and Petty and Team are very appreciative that he was available such short notice. A huge point for THE mission to return to nascar with a fulltime ride.Dream big JVistes, the best really really has yet to come. Gillett/Petty have some big decisions to make either way for 2010. It's make or break and knowing Petty, he's unbreakable. Just like the house that Jacques built. The news is good news no matter how it's sliced. The only bad part about it was 1 guy(same as prior F1 white noise) spinning what he 'heard'. Yes, Jacques was shockingly excited to be the retainer driver for Sorenson but he was never 'on his way' without confirmation. Villeneuve knows what retainer means and knew it would be a call in the night that he was needed at the Glen. However, just like the old Telephone game I played when I was a child, what was said, what was heard, and what was repeated can be realities apart. I so wanted to see him down in New York at Watkins Glen but knew nothing had been confirmed yet. Jacques Villeneuve is used and abused by our own media and it sends shock waves around the WWW. Garbage in is garbage out. If I'm mad about anything, it's the craziness of it all. My mentor KE, often reminded me that Crazy is: doing the SAME thing over and over again expecting DIFFERENT results. Bossman is far from crazy and so are most of his fans. What's crazy is his value to me, the media, and autoracing is PRICELESS.Absolutely priceless. Have a great morning JV fans. I'm off for my place in the sun. Be green. --- Still Wednesday the 5th. Not a hump day at all. Sun, sun, sun, here it comes... To Watkins Glen. I'm excited. To get JVistes in the mood, the Nascar pre-race news... August 5, 2009 Finally adapting to being on vacation. lol It's been a very nice week this week so far. News that the Montreal GP will be back for 7 years so next year, I'll surely plan some time off to devote to the festivities. We all miss F1 week but it's the race and place that are all important. Montreal rocks! I'm looking forward to the Nascar racing at Watkins Glen. A great road circuit race for Sprint and Nationwide series. Kyle ruled this one last year and he's overdue for a win, in either series. Watkins Glen is another race and place I wish JV had time for this week. But, that's not the case. He's catching up with his beautiful boys in Villars and catching up on some rest and relaxation. He should be coming home next week around the 11th, just in time for GP3R. It will be an exciting event. Best of luck Kuno and Nico. Go JV GO! Special Sound Off for Nico... Bravo Nico! Very very proud. Stay safe. Support your local firehouse. August 1, 2009 August is a bitter sweet time of year for me. Used to be my favorite month when I was a little girl because it meant my Daddy would be coming to get me in Pembroke or Raglan's Farm... My Dad always had the bestest of cars. They were always brand spanking new and we would listen to Mario Lanza, James Taylor, Dean Martin, and loads of Italian Opera. My father had the bestest voice. He was simply the best at everything. :-) These days, I've been running around in a Jeep. No 8 trac tape and the radio/cd player is not German, but the ride is so much fun. I'm as green as the next person but sorry, my passion for my new Eleanor is strong. So much so, my first love has been parked in the garage most of the summer. She doesn't go out in bad weather. So, what am I getting at? Jacques is in Brussels having some fun before the boys get there. And then Daddy brings them back home so he can get back to work. I'm guessing they'll be in a fresh-smelling chartered jet and will have Papa strumming his guitar(yes, he seems to take her everywhere :-)). No Mario Lanza I'm sure but Jules and Joakim will remember those quiet moments they had with Daddy, the bestest in the World. This August 2009, homies such as myself don't need to travel far at all to see Jacques Villeneuve race and 3 weeks in a row. First, he'll make it back on time for the Canadian Tire Trois Rivières Nascar race, then a few laps at Icar circuit(really becoming something special - must see), and he ends the wonderful month of August at circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Nationwide Series race. I love August. Special days, special memories, and special Dads. :-) Today will be a glorious sunny day. I hope the weather is as nice in Pocono. The Sprint Cup qualification was cancelled due to rain yesterday so the starting lineup is pretty much the same for the first 5 lanes. Tony Stewart leads in points but not by much and he's got Jimmie close behind. I must say, I'm really starting to like Tony. Took me a few years just to be able to listen to him or his fans but he's matured into a great man. I love great men. Speaking of which, Juan Paul has become quite the man. Nascar is about Teamwork, the whole package including family. Juan Paul brought alot of new racing fans to Nascar but mostly, he won over our American friends with his hard work and humanitarian efforts. They lovingly now accept him into the Nascar-family's arms. Kudos JPM, have a great race at Pocono. Be sure to spend some quality time with our JV when you're in town. Remind him what's important. :-) Jesus, I hope Jacques has time for Nascar 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if bossman has his busiest year in 2010. The year of our Olympics and perhaps some great European series racing right here at home both at circuit Gilles-Villeneuve AND Icar(can't say enough about it - a must see). This past week, JV has had to deny reports that he was going to be involved in possible future Romanian GP. He quickly made sure he publicly denied this and made recent online articles seem like white-noise. However, this time, it wasn't noise at all. Life happens and things do fall through cracks. Damage control is an artform and he did a good job this week. Phew! Personally, I'm excited about business-minded Jacques. He's on the cusp of becoming a great business man. As much as I miss Craig, I can see some very familiar traits in the bossman's business mind. That's a good thing. Let's hope he brings the self-confidence back with him. He's a great racer, and he brings so much to the racing world. Now it's time for Nascar to notice the huge benefits of JVisme. Give the guy a Mustang and let him show you what he's got on track and off track. I'll take a fulltime Nationwide ride any day over anything else. There's a long future in Nascar which isn't true anywhere else. May this August 2009 be the best yet and may we get news of his Nascar 2010 season. A Daytona 2010 story is what we all want to read about, but are we in for more enduro racing in Villars 2010? Home Daddy Home! :-) July 31, 2009 TGIF! and I'm on vacation. :-) Everyone needs some R & R at least once every year or so. And, Jacques is getting some of his own rest and relaxation. Happy hour is always happiest in Brussels. :-) The Brussel hotspots were the place to see JV today. Next stop, Switzerland... with his beautiful boys. Have fun bossman and can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks. Nascar rumors... Kyle B. is talking about owning his own team. A great idea. Reminiscent of Petty years ago. :-) Thing is, Kyle, get a Sprint Cup Championship under your belt soon. Eventually, if I were a Sponsor, I'd insist he concentrate on the Sprint series. However, what would the Nationwide be without him. :-) He's a great racer. Personally, I have no issues with his attitude. From where I sit, he's just not mature enough yet to understand what legends are made of. Hmmm, hauntingly familiar I must say. :-( It should be another great Nascar weekend. Just can't wait for Montreal. They hype has started and everyone wants to be there. As long as there's room for me. I'm hoping to kiss Rusty W this year. :-) Dream big, the best weekend of Summer 2009 has yet to come. July 28, 2009 It's a hot humid and cloudy Wednesday morning. Day 3 of my vacation and no plans for today so am catching up to some non-work. :-) Yesterday, I forgot to mention the great Nascar racing this past weekend. My Carl, what can I say... He is doing well in the Nationwide Series. And, he's not too shabby in the Sprint Cup. Ready for the Chase. :-) Juan Paul was the star of the race at the Brickyard. Mark had pole position but Juan Paul soon took the lead and lead a big portion of the race. He was penalized for speeding in pit lane(on exit). Personally, I would have to see the proof. :-) I'm sure he would have had the best chance to win his first Oval race if not for the penalty. Joey Logano was on fire. Coming from behind and finishing 12th. I cannot wait to see JV racing in Nascar fulltime. Until he's back home again though, he's distracted. Was great to see Jacques pretty puss with the Montreal Nationwide promos during the race at Indy. Nascar sees the potential and hopefully, Jacques will show up at some major raceslater this summer, in the US. Desperate times call for desperate measures. :-))) And, International JV fans, be sure to make your way back to the jv-world forum. There's a need for some real Jacques and Racing chat and many fans have been away for too long. Lisa's anglo side should continue to grow but sadly, looks like the french side is status quo. They just aren't open to new croonies and good looking women. ;-) There's alot more to tell but mumms the word these days. :-) Have a good one. Dream big JVistes, the best is yet to come. July 27, 2009 Anyone who works with me, knows I love Romania. :-) JV was supposed to be there today but I believe there was a cancellation? He's busy either way and will soon have his 2 wonderful boys joining him for some family time before he heads back home in August, just a few days before his Nascar race in Trois Rivières. It was a bitter sweet Grand Prix race weekend in Hungary. Hamilton had a great race. Kudos Lewis! And, we're keeping only good thoughts for Massa. Get well soon. Andrew Ranger won his third race at the Nascar Canadian Tire race in Edmonton. Next stop... Trois Rivières with Jacques and Patrick Brisebois. :-) Alot of good action in Edmonton's Indy race as well. Kannan was not injured when his car caught fire in pit lane but he gave everyone quite a scare. Well, time to let the dog out. July 24, 2009 Hopefully Jacques has some time to rest before his Spa adventure. Yes, he did make a stop in Hungary today. You can't blame him for trying. :-) USF1's Peter Windsor, didn't rule out 'anything's possible' but did make sure to clarify, Alex Wurz is his forerunner for his new team. No confirmation from Alex yet... And, bossman had time for a quick chat at BMW, Mercedes, and with Bernie. Once JV is back on home turf, he'll be 100% focused again on Nascar. Many possibilities as usual. :-) If you don't have your tickets yet for the Nascar Canadian Tire race in Trois Rivières, hurry... it's really hard to find lodging in the city of TR but there are great areas not to far. Great events planned and affordable family fun. Then there's the Montreal Nationwide. Just can't wait. July 23, 2009 We're 2 days away from the start of the Total Spa 24 Hours race. JV is resting as best he can considering, he's just got in from South America. It will catch up to him but probably not at Spa. He seems to always enjoy Spa. :-) Being the great driver he is, it won't affect his second race in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series. Once he puts on his driving suit(and often his helmut in pitlane way before the others), his mindset puts aside the jetlag or lack of sleep. He's been a busy guy since April but he loves to travel. And, where ever he goes, he brings with him interest in the Series and new fans for the Sponsors. Priceless and a great ambassador for Canada and for Auto-racing. It's jvisme. :-) Enjoy Spa and have a great race Jacques! And, Nascar is gearing up for the Brickyard. Last year, problems with the tires made the news. Hopefully, this weekend Kyle will make history and we'll all be talking about that and not the failing tires. It's hard not to like Kyle... He's a hell of a racer and still so young. I wish him all the best as long as he stays away from my Carl. lol I get a super kick watching him in any Nascar Series race and I can't wait to see him in the Montreal Nationwide in August. We like his attitude too, here up North. Familiar. :-) There will be alot to follow this weekend, Jacques Villeneuve at Spa 24, The Hungarian GP(go Kubica), and the Nascar Series at the Brickyard. Enjoy the day and dream big, the best is yet to come. July 19 2009 Sunday morning and the sun seems to want to come out. It's only 7 and I've been up for about an hour. The most productive time of the day for me. It's quiet, I'm alone with my Boo laying at my feet, and I have a fresh pot of coffee. Seems JV qualified 25(acutally 26th but won a spot following another driver's penalty) for the race today. We're about 3 hours away from the start of the Top Race. Best of luck JV. Our bossman is certainly a jetsetter. He's doing 3 continents within a 3 week time period. It's great to see him busy racing but I'm hoping we'll have the big Nascar news soon. Again, I can't say it enough... it's that time of year when Nascar Teams and Drivers start talking 'next' season. Off track, there are rumors but some make it to the race. It was a good race in the Nationwide yesterday and alot of talk about Harvick, Stewart-Haas, Mayfield :-), and more. Nows the time to pull a Pat(do what p carpentier does) and make sure Nascar knows bossman's there. Busy busy, but only cares about Nascar. He'll do another stellar job bringing media attention to his next Nascar Canadian Tire race and he'll be available for any PR and autograph signing. It's only a matter of time if he keeps his eye on the prize. Nascar is ready for a Canadian Hero. :-) Not sure what the misses is doing but still no sight of her with JV's globetrotting but I think I'm not supposed to say anything about that. lol And, quite frankly, it's just an observation on my part. Wouldn't want to let the cat out of her bag... oops! meant wouldn't want to start any horrible rumors. As much as I love my Watercooler time, it comes with a responsiblity in cyberspace. He said and she said can become white noise that harms so I won't say a word. :-) No Sprint Cup today so I'm off to find my place in the sun. vá JV vão! July 18 2009 Got back home today later than expected. Lots of e-mail to catch up to but pleasantly surprised that no one at the office tried reaching me on my cell. That was the cherry on top of another wonderfully lucky day. Sometimes, you find yourself in unexpected perfect surroundings. with perfect people, and perfect silent moments where there is no white noise. Pretty places you had never before taken the time to discover right here at home. A few days ago, a longtime girlfriend suggested a day trip visit to another girlfriend on her vacation. It was dependent on the weather and very early this morning, I wasn't sure Mother Nature would cooperate at all. She proved me wrong. :-) By 9 we were on the road and traffic was very light. In just 90 minutes we were at Île aux Noix and the skies had cleared. We relaxed while George made us lunch. A few mink were running around having a grand time and it was great to catch some photos. Soon after lunch George's chum Jean joined us and we all went out on the yacht for a ride down the river. I had never been to the Fort Lennox historical site and the journey put me in the mood for some great history. The Richelieu is quite grand in such surroundings. Canada is simply the most beautiful place on Earth for me. Anyhoot, my time with George(Portuguese captain) and crew gave me a chance to brush up on the lingo. Brazilian Portuguese is original to say the least. Why? To better follow JV as he participates in the Top Race this weekend in bonito Brasil. In free practice, Jacques was 26th. Glad he's racing but would have like to see him with Passat. Today's earlier free practice, JV was seventeenth. Lucky number 17 :-) That said, may bossman find himself in the perfect place at the perfect time... the checkered flag but mostly, the finish line.vá JV vão! In the meantime, jv-world has finally updated its Look and Feel. It's a gazillion times better than the last one but I remain disappointed with the lack of new content. I'm biting my tongue as I type because the babes in toyland 'give the people what they want' so they shutup attitude was just not the way to go. Jacques has tremendous fans around the WWW, and hopefully, one day, they will return to the official forum. Koji, Michele, Sandeep and even bossman... the original crew have been gone for years but it would be great to see them back. The forum needs mods and members that have opinions and something fresh to say. In the meantime, it remains a copy/paste place to be but you get a chance at a medal/trophy? Can you say sandbox? lol Gotta go catchup to my work load and the Top Race weekend in Brasil. Have a perfect day JVistes. Dream big, the best is yet to come. July 15, 2009 Beautiful blue skies at the airport. :-) JV left for Brazil a few hours ago. olá! bonito Brasil. Next stop, Top Race. We'll keep you posted although I may be busy the next couple of days. My guy got me a Jeep and her name is Eleanor. She's arriving tomorrow and I just can't wait. Hey, my Bosch is coming tomorrow too. Tomorrow must be another lucky day. I'll have to remember to send my good fortune Jacques' way. In the meantime, alot of gossip and rumors coming out of Nascar about changes this season and next. Not just the usual summer-break type of chatter but talk of rides that may become available sooner than later. Then again, I let myself believe the best is yet to come every year. And, So far, I've been right. Dream Big JVistes. The Best Is Yet To Come. July 14, 2009 Villeneuve joins Gravity Racing International at Spa Now we know why Jacques was in Belgium and why he's going back. This is something I've been talking about to my partner. I think it's great. Was hoping it was for LeMans 2010 with Audi but this will do nicely in the meantime. :-) Planetmans article available at, Jacques Villeneuve will participate at Spa I couldn't find the words to explain my disappointment with Jacques' first Lap crash this past weekend at the Autodrome St. Eustache. He seemed to take it well. :-) Either way, today was a good day and it's not over yet. I received confirmation of Jacques Villeneuve confirmed by Nascar for Montreal Nationwide race, also got confirmation he'll be participating at Spa 24 hours with Gravity Racing International(told you jaypee), AND confirmation my new Bosch would be delivered and installed on Thursday. You can't get any better than that. Give the lady news JV has upcoming races and give her a Bosch and she'll love you forever. lol I'm serious, getting a new Bosch appliance is comparable to getting a new Passat CC. "Did you see the Lady with the Leopard or the car?" :-) July 13, 2009 Short but not so sweet weekend for Jacques. He was out of the race in Lap 1, turn 2. The spotter thought JV would be able to steer clear but bossman explains it was impossible. It happened so fast. What a heartbreak for all the fans that showed up. And, all the media and extended family of friends... I think the state of shock lasted all the way home. I believe Jacques himself wasn't at a loss for words but 'on the record', his comments were short and sweet as well. The day yesterday started out great. Caught the German GP race live on TV. Kudos to Webber. I'm so delighted for him. Great guy and the race of his life. Personally, I had no issues with him bumping Rubens or being aggressive throughout the race. To come back and win after a drive-through, simply glorious. It's great to see an agressive drive to win. The last 2 races bored me a bit but overall, the season has been great. Can't forget to say Bravo Tagliani! Great Indy race in TO yesterday. Times are a changin but Indy racing always stays familiar. Was even nice to see Paul Tracy who was racing to help a great Canadian cause. Go Canada! Last but not least, the Wittmer brothers... Kudos to Kuno and Nick. Go Homies Go! Well, it's Monday and I do have alot of work to do today. I'm hoping to finish up some reports and have lunch on a lounge chair in the sun. Enjoy the day JVistes. Now, more than ever, Dream Big, the best is yet to come. Still July 9, 2009 :-) He's back. Yes he is, yes he is. Just put the guy behind the wheel on a racetrack and he's back. Welcome home JV. The day started a bit awkward and again, I find myself wondering where the hell is Integrity, and who forgot to draw the line? Media wants to rule the world but and it's too often worse than Big Brother. The Media Mission Statement: Give the people what they want. Not truth and fact. Just a story that attracts the visitor, over and over and over and over again. I use you and you use me, and around and around it goes on the WWW and then on TV, Radio, Print, Direct-Marketing, Billboards, Time Square, etc... Time to say Goodnight Irene but one last comment, "You want the truth? You want me to tell you the Truth? - You Can't handle the Truth!" lol But if you can, the next round's on Lous. July 9, 2009 Just a couple of hours before the Press conference at St. Eustache and then Jacques Villeneuve gets in his ride for some time on the track. I get very hyper 'pre-race'. I can't stand still and I usually can't stop talking but I'm very productive. In Lous' world, chaos is perfection. :-) Before JV runs this 1/4 Mile Oval track while pack-racing, I wanted to Shout Out to fellow JVistes that it will be a great day on Saturday in St. Eustache. Support your Regional Tracks. Support Nascar in Canada. Go Crazy Flying Canucks! --- Last word on white noise - he made it clear he would be available- no formal invites or discussions, he just showed up- a desperate man was tempted- things will be different when tomorrow comes--- July 8, 2009 Jacques Villeneuve fans have been reading the same rehashed news that he's still interested in F1. You won't read about it here. :-)) White noise will always be white noise. In this era of social online networking, anything can make the news over the WWW in no time. One well placed comment and an article is born. Press agents and Spin Doctors calculate every comment and plant the seed. Many celebrities/athletes themselves use the media when they can. That said, it's always been a 2-way street. You give a little and you take alot, vice versa. In the good 'ole days, a reporter/writer/journalist, had to call every lead, everyone who still owed them an exclusive or the next tip. And, alot of times, they had to knock on doors, hang around friends of friends, etc... They were leaner and better looking back then too. lol Seriously, in 2009, you can build your own field of dreams online in a nano-second. Reuters, Press Clubs, and the like no longer get together at the end of a long blitz to compare their war-stories. Smoke-filled rooms, the smell of stale vodka, and the real juicy stories. Ah! The Montreal Press Club in the late 70s. Back to Jacques - He was on a mission in Europe. He had an epiphany, or so he thought. In Monaco, the boyz had fun but it really got bossman thinking. I recall mentioning back then, never tempt a desperate man. lol That is not what Big Dreams are made of but it is true, build it and they will come... He would say yes to another Season of F1. He's not ready to retire. Once a racer always a racer. It's in the genes. But, is Formula One racing really a future? To this day, none of the Teams back up the self-perpetuated story. Did they take him seriously at Silverstone? They sure did. They see it all the time and they use the 'tempt a desperate man' theory every contract renewal. lol The articles being rehashed and schpun are a good thing. The more Jacques-talk, the better it is but will 'they' come? My only selfish wish right now is the next round of rumors and stories about JV to keep us going all summer. News about Nascar and a real longterm future and a backtrack to the Big One. Jacques Villeneuve will one day be the only driver to ever win 'Them' All. To all JVistes around the WWW, Dream Big, the best is yet to come! It's time for Nascar Bébé! Support Jacques Villeneuve and support our Regional Nascar Racing. It will be a great time at St. Eustache. --- As my mentor, friend, and Chairman of our Board keeps telling us, Pay It Forward. So... Let's Heal the World. Thanks MJ. July 7, 2009 I'm so glad to see pics of Jacques Villeneuve practicing in an old stock car #95 on the ICAR track yesterday. He's back! :-) The media press conference date has changed from Wednesday to Thursday. Gotta get my coffee going. A big big day today. Have a good one JVistes! July 6, 2009 We got the invite for the Jacques Villeneuve media press conference before he gets in the lucky #7 on the Oval at St. Eustache, Wednesday. As always, JV brings alot of media interest to whatever series he's participating in. The Canadian Tire Nascar Series is great. I've been following it much more closely this year. Thank you TSN and Nascar Media. :-) Hopefully, more JVistes will discover Nascar's Canadian racing. Of course, thank you Jacques Villeneuve for bringing this weekend's race in the media spotlight... online and off. May this race remind Jacques the potential of Nascar in all its forms. And, may he run a good race. Certainly it will be one of the best races this year in the Canadian Tire Series. St. Eustache is a true short 1/4 mile track and it isn't for the faint of heart. Ranger is just coming off his first win this Season at Mosports. Beauchamp Jr. still leads the Series but Ranger will be working hard to change that at the Autodrome St. Eustache. DJ Kennington, another hard-working Nascar driver is third in the Canadian Tire Series Standings. If you don't have your tickets yet, better hurry. Dream big, the best is yet to come! July 3, 2009 Belated Happy Canada Day JVistes. :-) Kudos to Andrew Ranger who won at Mosport this past weekend. I'm really enjoying catching the races on TSN. So much so, I can't wait for the race at St. Eustache on July 11. Speaking of Jacques... lol Smoke-screen or fog? Whatever it is, the people that know and love bossman, continue to be loyal. Hope all works out for JV and I'm hoping, his upcoming race in the Canadian Tire series will remind him about his longterm goals. The big committment. The Dream. I'll admit I've felt a twitch on a heart-string with recent self-perpetuating JV statements to Flagworld and crew. But, I just can't get on the bandwagon. Sorry. It goes without saying that Jacques Villeneuve would be among the best if he were to return to his old job. Being among the best is in itself not always good enough though in Formula 1 racing today. Unless he gets a job with Ferrari, and I can start wearing Ferrari Red again, I'm just not on board. Maybe in the Pits but not on board. lol Have I said Jenson and Alonso are boring me lately? The Watercooler must be spiked today. TGIF! Speaking of Friday... It's Nascar time! Bravo Juan Paul Montoya! He's currently 12th in the Sprint Cup Series. He's now positioned for the Chase. Bravo, Bravo! May you have a fantastic race in Daytona but watch out for Reutimann and Kahne who are hungry for It too. Good luck to homie Kuno W. The next one's yours. Have a great weekend JVistes. Dream big, the best is yet to come. June 27, 2009 It's only 9AM and I'm on my second cup of coffee. I was happy to ready my Nascar Nationwide news today, announcing this Series will also have Double-file restarts. Love it. I have been enjoying Nascar 2009 alot. Last weekend, seeing Patrick do so well only made me want to see Jacques Villeneuve racing in Nascar too. His participation in the upcoming Canadian Tire Series race in St. Eustache will be fun to watch. I caught the 2 last races and really enjoyed it. If you don't have your tickets yet, get them soon! :-) I have a feeling there will be as many Quebec media as there was last summer for the Nationwide. We're all so thirsty for a big JV comeback... and not in Europe! Bossman should be home by now if not still at the Airport. We're only a couple of weeks away from his first try on a short Oval in Canadian Tire Nascar Series. Get some practice time in Jacques. This is not an easy Series. Nascar is always serious stuff. Well, I must now pick my active drivers for Nascar Fantasy Yahoo game. I'm just 1 point ahead of JPL. Like I said, Nascar is always serious stuff. lol Enjoy the Nascar Race weekend JVistes! And, if the rain stops, it will be a great day at the Grand Prix de Mirabel Jacques Villeneuve. Dream big, the best is yet to come. June 26, 2009 Another beautiful sunny day out there today. And, alot of action at the Grand Prix de Mirabel Jacques Villeneuve at Icar. Best of luck to hometown boy Nick Wittmer and of course Jean-François Dumoulin. Go Lombardi Go! :-) A great weekend at Circuit Icar with Castrol Canadian Touring Car and Driftmania Championships... Affordable family fun. The Circuit Icar is attracting great race Series. Who knows, we may have a few European Series races add Canada to their lists. :-) Dream big JVistes, the best is yet to come. And he's "probably" coming home soon. lol In the meantime, beware bossman... there's a pigeon in the coop, kinda like a biodome effect. :-) I'm still at a loss for words about JV's future. Tough times for sure. The good news is, Jacques' friends are loyal and protective. The cyber-inner-sanctum can only follow quick mobile updates and latest pics. When it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and qwacks like a duck. It's a duck. Or, a rose by any other name should smell so sweet. Have I lost you yet? That's okay. It will all make sense sooner than later. I really enjoyed the Sonoma race and Kudos to Pat. Nascar races are often more exciting than what I've seen in the last 2 F1 events. I can't even talk much about F1 these days without blasting opinions about Jacques and any possible future in F1. Save it for the US F1. Or, get back up, brush yourself off and start fresh with your Nascar dream. Build It! and it will come... I know, I know - times are tough. Thing is, usually the tough get going. May the best man win without a manager! June 19, 2008 I just woke up(it's about 7AM) and am on my first coffee. My 1 and only neighbors are moving out today. Nat, was outside with the most wonderful little girl, Beatrice whom we all lovingly call Bea(bee-ah). I ran out with my coffee to be sure to say my last final goodbye. Both Nat and I started balling. So unexpected from us. lol Bea, she's having a harder time, she ran back into the house. Nat and Martin's eldest daughter Maude, was busy consoling Bea inside. Wonderful, beautiful, exceptional people. I will never see a tree frog, a bird's nest, a bog turtle, and all our forest's delights, without remembering the fun times I had with Bea and Maude. You will have a wonderful life in Winnipeg and big success with the new company. Keep in touch. xo I'm finally a bit better from Swine flu. I can sit up today. Woohooo! The men I love are all sick with the flu now. It will be a long lonely weekend in Lous Town. :-) On the bright side, there's Nascar, F1 and other sports to watch this weekend. I'm so itching to be watching a race from the track I can taste it. But, I'll save that for when I'm all better. Wouldn't want to make anyone sick(maybe Alonso and Button because they are boring me to death ;-)) My pet peeve this week is a person... Can you say Normand Legault? Argh! He's back now that the ball he dropped was picked up again. Throw it over here Normand. Good boy... now Go Fetch! Seriously, I am passionate about the Canadian GP and maybe we need a mission to get Normand L out of any negotiations. Get Normand Prieur on this instead. Get Stock Car Montreal in touch with Bernie. Hey, they're paying for the circuit-gilles-villeneuve track makeover. Normand, please just stay out of this. Where were you when the 2009 GP was lost. No calls, no news, just a vacation as far away as you can get. Montreal GP 2010 without Legault please. As we say here in Quebec, je me souviens... longtemps. lol Have fun JV at Silverstone. Wish you more success than you've had in Brussels and Monaco(not really, I'd prefer your 'good ideas' be better thought out right here in North America). I really miss Craig. :-) TGIF JVistes! Have a great weekend! June 12, 2009 UPDATE, 9:15AM EST lol Okay, had my coffee and am awake now. I had to quickly update my page. I was still dreaming earlier. Jacques is on his way to Mini-Europe park in Brussels with his boys. I'm guessing that includes Tristan too if he's feeling better now as well. I must say, he is a great Papa. :-) Again, where's the Misses? lol So, he's in no hurry to get back home. Why he remains in Europe is anyone's guess but as long as he's not wasting any valuable energy on racing again in Europe... Keep it for North America JV. Specifically save yourself for Nascar and get over here so we can start the hype. The best is yet to come! June 11, 2009 Always the optimist... but it's sometimes tough. lol On my third cup of Decaf and have already put in a couple hours work. It's still only 8AM but I've been playing catchup all week. Yes, I do have a day-job. I'm a very lucky girl. I get to work out of my home or anywhere in the World, doing what I love to do. Something I wish for everyone including Jacques Villeneuve. It must be hard to have had such a great job and now, looking to replace that void. I mean money is one thing, but retired at 38(right before mid-life crisis time ;-)) is not something any healthy, active man easily handles well. JV does get a chance to be a wonderful Papa. And, every now and then he participates in a race but it's a longterm career in autoracing/sports that will make him happy. Then he will have it all. The best is yet to come! I'm hoping he'll be home soon. He's feeling 'blah' today. Not sure if he means the weather in Europe is bad or he's just not feeling so hot these days. Or he's tired from all the recent travelling. Come home JV come home! Actually, he must have been around my Watercooler. He's recovering as they say... :-) BTW, I have the Flu. Blah too but no hangover for moi! lol But with great medication and waiting on my 4th cup of Decaf, I'll be in good form for this weekend's Nascar races. Have a good one! June 9, 2009 Well Jacques and Team finished 28th in Belgium's Touring Car Series. A few issues with the ride but not bad at all and everyone seemed content after the race. It's great to see his son's with him at the racetrack. Great looking boys I must say. Up until yesterday, still no Johanna around but I'm hoping for JV she's meeting up with them soon. Or she's hiding in Brussels... I think seeing her guys together having fun made her miss them even more. She must have been busy up North redoing the "cottage" or she's home holding the Fort. :-) The Turkey Grand Prix was not as exciting as past races. Yes Jenson, you are boring me now. lol The Nascar races in Pocono were a bit wet and personally, this was not a race weekend I'll remember. Moved up in the Yahoo Nascar Fantasy game though and I got alot of gardening done. Have a good one. June 5, 2009 Way to go boss man! Jacques and Team are the fastest of the Leon Teams today in Belgium. Way to go JV! Gotta get my coffee going and some work done but I'm keeping score. Go JV Go! and then come straight home and get busy with your Nascar future. AND, the best news this week was certainly the Press Release confirming that from here on in, in the Sprint Cup Series Nascar races, restarts are double-line. In other words, just like a Shootout. Woohoo! I say. The new rule starts this weekend at Pocono. One of my favorite races and I can't wait to see Kyle vs Carl, Jimmie vs Tony, etc... Jacques Villeneuve, come home soon! Your wife is spending all your money on the redo's of the Tremblant home. ;-)(maybe not but anything to get him and the boys back home asap). Not sure why the boys flew in to meet with Papa earlier this week in Belgium but I'm hoping JV doesn't plan on staying in Europe too long. There's so much work to be done here in North America. And, it's bad enough we're not getting ready for a Grand Prix race here in Montreal right now. Crescent street is like a ghost town and there's only 1 Ferrari to be seen. The only excitement this week was knowing the circuit Gilles Villeneuve was repaved and Nascar says it's all good. :-) June 4, 2009 I'm wondering right now why I should be typing this. Sometimes good intentions don't pan out but the point is to try? :-) My real day-job is hectic and I'm very busy for the next couple of weeks. Not sure I'll have much time to chat with you at Lous Watercooler in days and weeks to come. There are showers today in Istanbul but Brawn is ready to race. The morale and spirit are high. From the moment they boarded the plane to Turkey until the race and even beyond. It's hard not to talk about Brawn so far this season. Massa seems focused and believes he can have another good finish this year but Kimi, what the lemon is going on in his head? He's hopeful for the future but not as optimistic for a good finish in Turkey. Oh well, I forgive but don't forget. If you're not there expecting a good race, that bugs me bigtime. I'll bite my tongue now. And Toyota, started strong but had a rough going recently. I hope they are back on track. Hope all their hard work pays off for them. Which reminds me, gotta go place my picks for both the GP and the Sprint Nascar race this weekend. It's a long way to the top. :-) Have fun today Jacques, getting ready for the 12 Hours of Spa. June 3, 2009 Le trois fait le mois... I woke up this morning with a very sore back(long story) but then the scent of the beautiful flowers that were delivered yesterday hit me. Wow, glorious. A bitter sweet moment though. Yesterday was already done and gone and what a nice day it mostly was. I guess I'll have to plan on having another good one. :-) Jacques is happy to be reunited with his family that's for sure. When his boys aren't around, it's tough. He's kinda lost without them now. Sweet. :-) Have a great race at Spa JV. Those of us that can, will be watching. June 2, 1961 - 2009Finishing up my second cup of brew decaf. Usually, every day, first thing I do is start the coffee, check my e-mail and put out any fires. I then pick up around the house, get presentable and start my day. Today will be different and special. Have a good one. BTW, Jacques Villeneuve got too much sun yesterday. Serves him right for falling asleep on the beach. Life's a beach! :-) June 1, 2009 Ah what a finish to the Sprint Cup Race in Dover. Jimmie Johnson did his magic once again. The Monster thriller ended as it should. Kudos to Tony Stewart. Almost. :-) The Nationwide was a good one too. Brad K was able to steal the win from his pal Rowdy Kyle B. Was a great race for the young guns. I'm not sure if Jacques is still in Monte Carlo learning and playing poker. He was hoping for beginners luck but I'm hoping the luck comes later this week when he participates in the 12 Hours of Spa in his Leon SEAT. If he doesn't do well, I hope he has a blast. UPDATE noon: Sounds like JV is in Belgium working on his tan and too chicken to take a dip. Completely understandable... Rest Jacques for this week's race and stay away from the seafood just in case. :-) That said, I am all for fun and globetrotting but I want Jacques Villeneuve home here in North America and hard at work trying to get his Nascar ride. Wishful thinking though. Bravo Detroit although Sydney DID score and it should have ended at least 3-2. Pffft as dearly-departed Jazz would say. Not many people this morning around Lous Watercooler. Hmmmm, I'll have to get some natural Belgium Spring Water. If anyone is available for the race this week at Spa, be sure to contact me.(update, too late, pffft!) I may still be able to set something up today. No promises but my favorite motto - "You don't ask, you don't get". Have a good one JVistes! May 31, 2009 Should be a great race in Dover today. Lous predictions, the Busch boys should have a good race. And way to go Juan Paulo. Esta Linda. I'm going with the underdog JPM just because he's a great guy and such a hard worker. Me thinks he'll be a Chaser this year. Enjoy the race JVistes. The best is yet to come! If you have something relevant, or not. Or you want to share what you did last night, you've come to the right place. Let's get this discussion rolling... If I were a betting woman, I wouldn't play craps. I'm a poker type of gal. Hey Jacques Villeneuve, up for a challenge? 5 card straight or Texas Holdem? Jacques is learning how to play Poker and having alot of fun. He has played before but he's always the consumate competitor. He wants to win. Best of luck JV. See you in Vegas sometime. lol My birthday's coming up and I'm feeling fabulous about myself. Great bod, great sense of humor, and great confidence. :-) Something I wish to all as they approach their next milestones. Anyhoot, gotta get the coffee brewing. Talk to you soon. Something to say, Something to share about last night? :-)
