It's a fantastic company and very involved in autoracing, especially Nascar series here in Canada and around the globe. For her, a great gift card. As a woman, I love shopping at Canadian Tire. I'm not sure I'd want my spouse to purchase anything there for me(just in case he buys dish set #4 lol) butI so appreciate a gift card. The higher the amount the happier I am. CT has great great stuff for us gals. And, it's not just for boys any more. :-) And, for your guy... What guy doesn't need a new toy. :-) Buy Canadian, Buy Canadian Tire... The Montreal Nationwide was a blast and I had the opportunity to make someone else's dream come true. It was a thrill of a lifetime. Seeing Jacques Villeneuve is always fun but it's nothing compared to being there with him on a race track... especially at circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Not sure who I'll be bringing this year so if you have a great story, don't hesitate to contact us. And how can I look back at last year and not remember another incredible dream come true on the mystical island course. Kubica. Go Kubica Go! An incredible story. One that reminds us of Gilles. The underdog. No famous fathers, no Swiss schools and bank accounts. Just a dream and alot of hard work. When you think 2009 is throwing you a knockdown punch, get up again and remember those that have dreamt and inspired. A name that comes to mind when thinking we control our destiny is Edwards. Yes folks, my Carl Edwards. He's hard working, loves life, and he always tries. A true winner in my books. His perspective is always positive. Perhaps the only thing that gets to him, is the pessimism of others. When times are tough, the tough get going... His best quote of 2008... "These are the 43 best drivers in the world, the cars have 900 horsepower, drive 200 miles an hour, and the track and tires are slippery and that's a spectacle, and that's what it's supposed to be. It's not supposed to be easy for everyone and not supposed to be driving down the interstate; and I'm tired of hearing people complain the media make up stories about how terrible it is and stuff. This is auto racing. There are going to be people that are faster and days we won't be able to keep up because the car is too hard to drive and somebody is going to win. I really connect with people such as Carl. I have a job I absolutely love and I'm am so grateful everyday. 10 years ago, a man changed my life. He's become a true friend and business mentor. he's made my dreams come true. On New Year's he reminded our Team that what we do , actually does change lives. From hand picking 6 incredible people in 1998 and growing that into our company today, that is now a Dream Team of over 100 people around the World. Each and every one of us as special as the next. Almost 200,000 affiliates, hundreds of thousands of clients and tens of thousands successfully building their own field of dreams. Build It! and they will come. It happened to my friend Elad who I had the pleasure of meeting in person in 08. His big adventure last year wasto come to Canada to meet others who took destiny into their own hands. Until we meet again next time at your place. Shalom. :-) Oh and I can't forget to mention our company's 10th Annual get together in 2008. We filled the place. Those who could fly in did. Others were there in spirit. I had recently had surgery to have a tumor in my lower jawbone removed and had just received the results that it WAS benign. I swear I had tears in my eyes when I walked into Newtown's. Different than other nights, that night it was like coming home safe after a long journey. It would be my last time for awhile before I would see K & J again. So happy to be healthy and know I'd be with this SS family for many years to come.
